Russian text is usually longer than English. If length isn't taken into account, buttons and menus fall apart and headlines no longer fit on one line.

Strings without context

Translation files list words without a picture of the page. The same word can be a button, a heading or a sort option, so we ask about the context instead of guessing.

Why translate your website professionally

What website translation includes

Besides the visible copy, such as pages, articles and product descriptions, a website has menus, buttons, forms, error messages, customer emails, image captions and search metadata. All of it needs translating too, or visitors will see a mix of two languages.

How we work

  • We collect the texts. We take your export files or gather the texts from the site ourselves.
  • We build a glossary. We fix the names of sections, buttons and products so they read the same everywhere.
  • We translate in a CAT tool. Tags and variables are protected, and repeated strings are translated the same way.
  • We check it on the site. After publication we look at how the translation appears on the pages: no truncated text, correct line breaks.
